Sonic The Comic 20th Anniversary panel 25 by A-R-Q Sonic The Comic 20th Anniversary panel 25 by A-R-Q
Yay I can finally upload this, so basically STC-O celebrated it's 20th anniversary this year and they got a load of artists together to draw panels for this great feature that would help new readers into the fleetway/fan canon. I'm really happy to have been a part of this, STC was a big part of my childhood, even though in small snippets (I was too lazy to go to the shop) it's art style and storytelling influenced me a lot, so yeah I was tasked with recreating the fall of the Robotnick Citadel. Twas fun just because it has a very Bonfire Night feeling to it so I used a lot of warm colours. (Also really cool that my panel was uploaded on the actual Bonfire Night :D )

Also I really must say, you should check out all the other panels here www.stconline.co.uk/summary/in… loads of great work from STC artists old and new, there are even a few Archie comic artists in there too!

Very well done. This picture captures the feeling and emotion of the Mobians as they cry for their freedom. The fire and darkness combined gives the picture a sense of defiance and revolt to the evil that they fight against. It also gives it a dramatic touch to the whole scene. I also love the irony that is displayed here as our usually laid-back cool hero has a face of determination mixed with feelings of possible anger and adrenaline.

If you continue to do more works like this you will find much success in the world of digital art. Keep it up!:D

I love the detail in the picture. It's obvious a lot of effort when into creating this piece. It really makes me want to ready the Fleetway comics, not to mention the continuation after it ended.

This is a lovely piece of work that really shows the development you've made in working digitally, but also showing the tighter look you have in working as a story teller and an illustrative narrative through you drawings. The appearance of this piece is very impressive with the mixture of the painted background along with the more cell shading design of the characters is effective and one that makes for an eye catching display of work. The contrast of the lighting, along with the body langauge that you've display Sonic and company in works well to show an air of victory but also the questions of what happened and what is to be of the future. Creating that feel in your piece just through the visual and body language alone is a sign of the capabilities you have and just how much further you will go if this is what you have presented now, the future for your work is certainly a strong one and you are bound to unlock much more in your talents than you thought possible.

Keep it up.
